Here are the instructions for turning off AGC on the 9500 series phones:
When using automatic gain control (AGC), the phone tries to maintain a constant audio level even if the incoming call changes between loud and quiet.

Press the  MENU button. |

Use the  up and down  arrow keys to highlight Advanced Options. Press Select. |

Use the up and down arrow keys to highlight Audio. Press Select. |

Use the up and down arrow keys to switch between Handset, Headset, or Speaker settings for AGC. |

To change the highlighted setting, press Change. |

When completed, press Save. |
| 5. |
Press Back / Exit to exit the menus.

In addition to the AGC setting, I would turn off the Echo Canceller option in that same menu. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.
